ABOUT
Kenneth F. Katz is a consultant specializing in Resource and Organizational Development, Capacity Building and Grant Proposal Writing for nonprofit organizations. He is based in Palm Springs, California. Mr. Katz has more than 25 years experience in public relations, marketing and resource development. His projects have included work for the County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services Office of AIDS Programs and Policy (OAPP), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Macy’s West, Northern California Grantmakers, East Los Angeles Women’s Center, Foothill AIDS Project, Jewish Family Service of the Desert, Palms Residential Care Facility and Desert AIDS Project, among numerous others. He has conducted workshops and seminars on resource development, grant proposal writing, events and donor programs.
Prior to establishing his consulting business in 2002, Mr. Katz served as Director of Development for Palm Springs-based Desert AIDS Project, a full service organization specializing in medical care and comprehensive social services for those living with HIV/AIDS. He previously served as Director of Development and Communications for The Serra Project, a Los Angeles-based HIV/AIDS housing provider. He has also served in the Development and Executive Office departments of LA Shanti.
Before relocating to Southern California in 1991, Mr. Katz was Marketing Manager for New York-based The LVI Group, a NYSE-listed conglomerate specializing in interior construction and environmental hazard remediation. He previously worked for Rand Public Relations, AC&R Public Relations and Fairchild Publications. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, New Jersey. |
